Avril

Avril Lavagne was a born star. She was born on September 27, 1984 in Napanee, Ontario, Canada. She is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She gave a very early start to her career. Lavigne grew up singing country music and in a church choir and taught herself guitar. She was honing her singing and songwriting skills on her own improving day by day...All because she knew that one day she will be agreat star singing before thousands of people. Often during her childhood she use to stand on her bed visualizing it as a stage and sing on top of her voice. She use to feel as if thousands of people were applauding her song. She was soon to make this dream come true. Her first success was winning a radio competition which gave her the advantage to travel to Ontario and sing with Country legend Shania Twain. Avril had a strict policy for herself. She clearly states that she is not gonna be what others like. She will dress, act and sing what she feels is good and what makes her content.

Although Avril was trying her best to give a bosst to her career it was finally at the age of 16 when she was in New York that she was finally signed to Arista records when an Arista employee was so impressed that he insisted that he return with his CEO to hear Avril sing. Once signed to the major label, Avril moved south to New York where she finally began her professional career in earnest. Her time in NY was relatively short-lived because she was not getting the satisfaction she needed from her music. the company wanted others to write song for Avril. But this was not what she wanted. Avril wanted to write her songs. So she next moved to the west coast where she hooked up with producer/songwriter Clif Magness. She was happy here because according to her Cliff understood her feelings. The songs for "Let Go" began pouring out, with Magness at the helm as well as up-and-coming production team the Matrix. Soon after Avril hooked up with Nettwerk Management.

Her debut album turned out to be a big hit. She made her policy "of being her own" true in her debut album - "Let Go". "Anything But Ordinary" is a rockin' ode to individuality, while guitar-driven first single, "Complicated," is a simple song that kicks pretenders to the curb. The string-inflected "I'm With You" reaches out for connection to reflect Avril's more mellower side, but tracks like "Losing Grip" and "Unwanted" courageously confront rejection and betrayal with all the heaviness such subjects demand. Then there's "My World" and the metaphoric "Mobile," which perfectly articulate the Avril experience.

Its just right to say that Avril Lavagne is one of the most popular singer of the recent times. She is a skater-punk, a dynamic spirit, a true wild child. She is definitely one of those rare creatures who attracts people with her voice and character.

The Beatles

July 6, 1957, John Lennon along with "The Quarry Men" had just finished performing at St. Peter's Parish Church in Woolton, Liverpool when fellow group member and childhood friend Ivan Vaughn introduced him to a guitarist named James Paul McCartney who played "Twenty Flight Rock" for John. A recording was made of the Quarry Men's performance by Bob Molyneux, a member of St Peter's Youth Club. Paul was asked by Pete Shotten to join the band, during a chance encounter on July 20. On Oct 18, Paul made his debut performance.
In Sept John entered "The Liverpool College of Art". Paul and George Harrison were students at "Liverpool Institute High School for Boys". During their daily hour-long bus commute, they became friends discovering a mutual interest in music.

The History of The Beatles can be traced back to March 1957, when John Lennon and his childhood friend, Pete Shotton started a group called "The Black Jacks" to play Skiffle and America Rock and Roll. They soon change the name to "The Quarry Men". Their gigs were mostly neighborhood events.

Laxmi Prasad Devkota

Laxmi Prasad Devkota (November 12, 1909 – September 14, 1959), was a Nepali poet. He is arguably the best writer in the Nepali Language. He has written great works in the Nepalese Language. He is best known for the poem "Muna Madan."

Early life

Devkota was the third son of Pandit Tila Madhav and Amar Rajya Laxmi Devi. He was born in Thatunati (now Dhobidhara), Kathmandu on the day of the Festival of Lights, which is a celebration of the Goddess of Wisdom and Wealth.

Family life

After he received his bachelor's of law,he wrote to a friend while he was in Santa Bhawan Hospital, "Death stands before me. I search for constellations in the sky but can find none. I cannot give peace to myself. If I could rise, I would kill myself and my future prospects."

Laxmi Prasad Devkota was primarily a humanist who occasionally wrote from an atheistist point of view too. Some critics have mistaken his intellectual querries for atheism and have tried to line him up with Marxism or other similar politically leftist ideologies. This is why such critics were shocked when he dictated one of his last poems to a friend, "Aakhir Shree Krishna rahecha eka" (" in the end, Lord Krishna happens to be the only truth").

Career

Devkota has contributed to Nepali literature by bringing the Sanskrit tradition to its apex and by starting modern romantic movement in the country. Devkota was the first to begin writing epics in Nepali literature and his magnum opus "Muna-Madan" remains a best seller even fifty years after his death. He is recognized as one of the greatest Nepali writers and his work is in the same level of standard as any of the greats of literature in any language. He also served as Nepal's Education Minister, and was a professor at Tri-Chandra College.

Devkota had the ability to write poems very quickly -- he wrote the Shakuntal in three months, the Sulochana epic in 10 days and Kunjini in a single day. Nepali poetry soared to new heights with Devkota's groundbreaking poetry. "Muna-Madan," a long narrative poem in popular folk metre, begins the end of the Sanskrit tradition in Nepali literature. "Pagal" ["Mad"] is another of his ground-breaking works.

Devkota's 2 sons and 4 daughters still live in Kathmandu, Nepal. One of his 2 sons currently lives in Auckland New Zealand.

Events

Once, Devkota was invited to a party to which he went dressed informally. The guard at the door did not let him in because he wasn't clothed according to the dress code. Devkota went back home and returned wearing a suit. This time, he was allowed in. After Devkota went inside, he began pouring his drink and food all over the coat he was wearing. The surprised guests asked him what the matter was. Devkota replied that if he was allowed inside only with the suit on, the suit must have been invited to the party and not him.

Background

John Jameson was an astronaut who had been on several missions before being selected for a secret mission to the moon. While there he discovered a ruby- like gemstone that he felt compelled to own. He stole it from quarantine and began wearing it as a pendant. The moonstone proved to be an alien artifact that attached itself to Jameson's throat and on nights of the full moon transformed him into the Man-Wolf, a powerful and violent wolf-like humanoid. For months Jameson tried and failed to stop the transformations, eventually stalking his own father, J.Jonah Jameson and then-fiance, Kristine Saunders. Spider-Man intervened and fought the Man-Wolf, eventually ripping the moonstone from the creature's throat. Jameson reverted to his human form, seemingly cured.
Later, Morbius reattached the moonstone to Jameson so that he could use the Man-Wolf as a pawn in a scheme to cure himself of his vampiric illness, a scheme that was thwarted by Spider-Man. Now Jameson transformed into the Man-Wolf whenever the moon was above the horizon. As the moon waned from its full phase the Man-Wolf's strength diminished and more of Jameson's intelligence emerged. On the run for being AWOL, the Man- Wolf fought Kraven the Hunter and the Hatemonger before Jameson finally surrendered to the authorities. Unaware of his condition, they offered to drop charges against him if he would investigate a communications blackout on an orbiting space station. Jameson discovered the station had been seized by warriors from the extradimensional Other Realm, the origin point of his moonstone. They convinced him to return with them.
In the Other Realm, Jameson retained his personality and intelligence as the Man-Wolf. The Realmites told him his moonstone was created centuries ago by their dying lupine Stargod to pass his powers on to his successor. On Earth it could only partly transform Jameson into the new Stargod. The Man-Wolf helped the Realmites defeat the tyrant Arisen Tyrk and then used his powers to return to Earth. Again subject to the partial effects of the moonstone, the Man-Wolf was kidnapped and controlled by Spencer Smythe in an attempt to get revenge on J.Jonah Jameson and Spider-Man. When Smythe tried to destroy the Man-Wolf, his moonstone teleported him to another dimension where he again became the Stargod. The Man-Wolf returned briefly to the Other Realm and saved it from destruction. Although he had begun to enjoy being the Stargod, Jameson decided to return to Earth. There he could not remember the Other Realm or the Stargod and allowed Spider-Man and Dr. Curtis Connors to administer a biomagnetic treatment that caused his body to reject the moonstone, which crumbled to powder. Once more Jameson ceased transforming into the Man-Wolf.
After recovering in a sanitorium, Jameson became Captain America's pilot. Eventually he was contacted by the villain Dredmund Druid. Jameson attempted to defeat Dredmund himself, but was overpowered and temporarily transformed into a werewolf that greatly resembled his Man-Wolf form. Dredmund reassembled the moonstone and attempted to use it, but was defeated by Captain America and the moonstone was destroyed again. Disheartened, Jameson resigned as Cap's pilot. He tried being a freelance monster-hunter, but gave this up when Dr. Ashley Kafka offered him the post of Security Chief at Ravencroft. At some point Jameson's memory of being the Stargod returned and he has revealed this to Dr. Kafka. John and Ashley became very close while working at Ravencroft and began dating. They faced many of the institutions lunatics together, especially Carnage, who enjoyed torturing the two of them. Since they were so eageer to force thier view of the world on him while calling it "treatment," he decided to force his view on them.
Following an incident where the Chameleon escaped, it was one escape too many and both John and Dr. Kafka were fired from Ravencroft. The replacement announced was Doc Samson, but he was never seen in the Spider-books since.
John has been used as a pawn by several super criminals, such as Mad Jack, who brainwashed John into attacking his father. He was forced back into his Man- Wolf state by Stegron, who acquired a magic crystal from the arctic which had the power to transform anyone into a more bestial form. He sniffed out Mary Jane and tracked her down to Avengers Tower (where Peter, Aunt May and MJ lived after thier home in Queens was destroyed by a fire). Changing into Man-Wolf, he attacked MJ but was defeated by a knock on the head by Aunt May. He must have been taken by surprise. And tripped.
